Description
xGeorgia O’Keeffe was a pioneer of Modernism, known for forging her own path in the art world. Her bold experiments with abstraction and color were the foundation of her style, which was as original as it was powerful. Her collection of flower paintings is one such example of this experimentation. Borrowing the close-cropping technique from Modernist photography, she created large-scale depictions of ordinary flowers that skillfully blend the real and the abstract. The resulting works possessed a remarkably sensual sensitivity that both stunned and inspired critics and the public alike.
